Fucking Big Dog. I hate that thing so much.
Though seriously. Things like Big Dog are why I think film should give animatronics another go instead of relying so heavily on CGI, because even after it’s massively outdated, Jurassic Park’s animatronics are still very impressive, but outdated CGI looks…well…we all know how outdated CGI looks. But honestly, look at this. Big Dog’s movements (if you ever watch the whole video) are incredibly animal-like, and it would be really amazing to see a return to animatronics with this kind of technology now available.

I don’t know I’ve always thought it was adorable? Though, considering that’s coming from the girlthing that finds all kinds of weird, sometimes-creepy things cute / attractive, that might not be saying much.

The scary thing is, how it rights itself. Just like a person. It stumbles and finds it’s footing and keeps going. It’s really unnerving…
